Brandon Stephens Believes in Texas

The University of Texas is looking for a big time running back in the class of 2016. Could Brandon Stephens be that player? The 6-foot-1, 200-pound back checks in from Plano (Texas) Plano Senior.

Plenty of teams would love to land running back Brandon Stephens. He holds offers from Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Ohio State, SMU, Stanford, Tulsa, Washington, Wisconsin and Texas. The Longhorns offered the standout back on February 18th, 2015.

Stephens made an unofficial visit to Texas and walked away impressed with what he saw.

”I enjoyed my visit to Texas,” Stephens said. “Coach [Charlie] Strong is a great coach and I believe in what he’s doing for the program.”

Stephens is the No 8 ranked running back in Texas, No 8 in the Midland region and No 41 ranked back in America.

”My best assets as a football player is my vision,” Stephens said. “Being able to read my blocks right and then react to it. What I need to work on is my quickness in and out of holes. I believe that I am a versatile player, can play both sides of the ball. My running game is improving every week, and I have the knowledge a great football player needs to be successful. I am always finding a way to get better and be the best I can be.”
