Texas Among Favorites for 2017 Standout

Jeffrey Okudah recently visited the University of Texas and added another offer. The talented 2017-safety prospect checks in at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds from Grand Prairie (Texas) So Grand Prairie.

Four-Star standout lands offer from the Texas Longhorns and talks the latest.

”It means a lot because I know that Texas had to evaluate my game a lot in order to decide I was worth of an offer,” Okudah said. “Coach [Charlie] Strong is a great guy, he’s somebody you definitely want to lead a program.”

Okudah also spent time with defensive coordinator Vance Bedford and defensive backs coach Chris Vaugh.

”Coach Bedford is as honest as it gets,” Okudah said. “That’s what you look for in the recruiting process. Coach Vaughn is a guy that has all the players fired up at all times. He will be tough on you when it’s necessary but he will be jumping right a long with you when you make a big play.”

The four-star has numerous schools that have extended early offers. Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LUS and Michigan to name a few. Texas is near the top of his list.

”Texas definitely is a school I’ll be seriously considering among all my offers because of the prestige, tradition and the development of my position,” Okudah said.
