Buechele Enjoys New Offense

Numerous prospects waited in eager anticipation to see the new look Longhorn offense none more so than future Texas signal caller Shane Buechele. He is one of the four 2016 players to announce his intentions to join the Texas program. Buechele joins Demarco Boyd, Reggie Hemphill, and Collin Johnson as the foundation of the 2016 class.

Shane Buechele is the No 2 ranked signal caller in the state of Texas. He is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound four-star checking in from Arlington (Texas) Lamar H.S. Buechele was able to visit this weekend as Texas closed the door on the spring workouts.

”I loved being there for the spring game,” Buechele said. “I always have a good time down in Austin. I really enjoyed watching the new offense, and I think it has the potential to get guys in space and make big plays.”

Charlie Strong was one of the main reasons Buechele picked the Longhorns.

”I love Coach Strong and the rest of the staff,” Buechele said. “I didn’t get to talk too much with them because I didn’t want to bother them before the game but I haven’t been able to find one bad thing about the coaching staff.”

Buechele has been leading the charge on the recruiting trail and spent some time with some potential teammates on Saturday.

”The vibe at the game was exciting,” Buechele said. “You can tell the recruits love being down in Austin and can't wait to be down there.”
