Jack Stoll and his father visited Austin this past weekend as Texas rolled out the new look offense. The tight end position will play a big role in the new offense and Stoll understands the opportunity.
”Overall the trip was everything I could have asked for,” Stoll said. “I went to Austin with my dad and as soon as we arrived we were given a tour of some of the facilities and I got to sit in on the tight end meetings. I really like the looks of the new offense. The tight end is in most of the time and they find a way to always use a tight end as much as possible.”
Tight end coach Jeff Traylor is in his first season with Texas, and so far he has received rave reviews from various recruits including Stoll.
”I thought the coaches were great, “Stoll said. “I really like coach Traylor and his coaching style. He is someone I could see myself playing for. I also thought that Coach Strong was great. He was very enthusiastic and is someone who cares about this players.”
Hearing about the new offense is one thing but seeing it up close in person has the recruits excited about the future of the program.
”All the recruits seemed to be excited,” Stoll said. “It seemed like everyone was excited about the new era of Texas football that Coach Strong has started to build. I know that under coach Strong the program will be a championship contender pretty soon.”
