The No 139 ranked player regardless of position checks in from New Orleans (LA) St. Augustine H.S. He also happens to be the No 1 ranked tight end prospect in the state, No 4 in the South and No 7 ranked in the country.

Jamal Pettigrew is a 6-foot-6, 230-pound pass catching tight end. The four-star ranked player announced his intentions to play for head coach Les Miles and the LSU Tigers on January 11, 2015. Pettigrew is focused on his upcoming season and his game.

”It’s going good,” Pettigrew said. “Just focusing on everything that comes my way and staying low when I block. In my opinion I’m decent at everything that I am asked to do its just trying to perfect it everyday.”

Pettigrew attended camps with Alabama, Auburn and LSU. He has offers from all three in addition to Florida, Louisville, Mississippi and Texas to name a few. Why is he one of the top players in the country?

”I think I am one of the top players in the country because of GOD. I give all praise to him,” Pettigrew said.

Pettigrew has a busy summer planned.

”I am going to be playing with the Louisiana Bootleggers so we are going to be going to a lot of tournaments,” Pettigrew said. “I don’t plan on going to any camps expect for the AA one like the opening and rivals five star.”
