2017 QB to Keep an Eye on

One of the top signal callers in next year’s class is Sam Ehlinger. He checks in at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds from Austin (Texas) Westlake. The 2017 standout quarterback is drawing interest from teams across the country. He should be a familiar face in Austin this summer.

Sam Ehlinger is a common name among college coaches across the country. He is already drawing interest from Texas, Missouri, UCLA, USC, Georgia and Florida to name a few.

“Coach [Shawn] Watson is the person I have the strongest relationship with,” Ehlinger said. “He writes me every week and he comes by Westlake about every week. I believe the university of Texas is one of the greatest universities in the country because the program is changing in a positive way, the stadium and facilities are amazing and coach strong has everyone on the right path. I will be going to Coach Watson's elite QB camp over the summer and I'm not sure when else I will visit.”

Texas is not the only school he plans to visit over the summer.

”I plan on visiting Florida, Northwestern and Stanford moving forward,” Ehlinger said.
