”I'm in track practice right now, so I'm not doing much in the spring right now,” Jones said. “My last meet is on Saturday so I'll be good to go next week. My speed is my biggest strength and catching the deep ball. I have to work on my double moves more.”
Jones will have an extremely busy next couple of months.
”I got invited to the Prime 21 camp,” Jones said. “My 7v7 team qualified for the IMG 7v7 tournament and my school 7v7 team is most likely going to make it to State. I also planned to go to the Baylor camp and Texas A&M camp. And a visit down to Oregon, most likely to Texas, Miami, UF, and Florida St.”
The Texas offer was big for Jones and his family.
”This was an offer I've been waiting for since freshman year,” Jones said. “That's one of my favorite colleges when I was a kid. They have so much tradition in that program, and it looks like Coach Strong is changing things around over there. I've never spoken to him, but he seems cool.”
Why is he one of the top wideout prospects in the country?
”I feel like I have the playmaking ability that most people don't have,” Jones said. “I am a major deep threat and I have a motor that doesn't stop.”Inside the Numbers:
