CHIP'S MEMORIAL DAY WKEND CHAT

As we observe Memorial Day Weekend, thank you to all the men and women who have served and protected our freedom or paid the ultimate price for it.

And if you find yourself with a little free time over the holiday weekend, feel free to join my chat!

CHIP'S MEMORIAL DAY WKEND CHAT.

Lots to talk about ...

* The 5th-seeded Texas baseball team getting a third-straight complete-game performance from its starting pitching (this time it was Connor Mayes giving up two hits while recording 10 strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Baylor) to reach the Big 12 Championship vs Oklahoma State on Sunday.

And Tres Barrera is 3-for-7 in UT's last two games with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored, including a walk-off, bases-loaded single in a 4-3 victory over Baylor on Thursday.

Parker French and Ty Culbreth pitched complete-game victories against Texas Tech and Baylor, respectively, in the first two games of the Big 12 Tournament.

* The Texas men's doubles team of Lloyd Glasspool and Soren Hess-Olesen reached the semifinals of the NCAA Championships. They were playing Baylor's 8th-ranked Diego Galeano and Julian Lenz Sunday. It marks the third straight year Texas has advanced individuals to the Final Four of either singles or doubles at the NCAA Championships.

* Jordan Spieth contending at Colonial in Fort Worth.
