Stoll (Aurora, CO/Regis Jesuit) tells HD that he will announce his commitment on June 19.
The decision looks like it will come down to Texas or Nebraska after Stoll told HD over the weekend that those were the two schools he was now considering after previously mentioning a Top 3 that also included Colorado.
Stoll took a two-day visit to Texas' campus on May 27-28 to get a better feel for what UT had to offer. He came away extremely impressed.
“I spent a lot of time with the coaches,"he said. "I’m loving everything about Texas.”
Stoll visited the McCombs School of Business and other academic buildings on campus and also got to explore the city of Austin as well.
“I love the city and seems like a place I could see myself for the next four years,” he said.
The Longhorns were the first major offer for Stoll, which is something not lost on him.
He is one of seven tight ends the Longhorns have offered in 2016 along with Kaden Smith (committed to Stanford), Jamal Pettigrew (LSU), Donte Coleman (Texas Tech), Peyton Aucoin, Irvin Smith, and Nick Eubanks. Smith and Coleman are the only TEs from the state of Texas.
If the numbers line up correctly, the Longhorns would entertain taking two tight ends in 2016.
