Kellen Mond A Name to Remember

The class of 2017 is loaded with big-time quarterback prospects. One name to remember is Kellen Mond. The 6-foot-3, 194-pound signal caller checks in from San Antonio (Texas) Reagan H.S. Mond has offers from Arizona State, Baylor, California, Duke, and SMU.

Kellen Mond is a name to remember from the state of Texas. The 2017 standout quarterback is drawing interest from California to Texas.

”I think coach [Charlie] Strong is doing a great job of recruiting and trying to get the program back to where it should be,” Mond said. “I have always been a fan of Texas and I think they up-tempo offense is going to help tremendously.”

What kind of quarterback is Kellen Mond?

”If I were to describe myself to someone, I would tell them that I am a pocket passer who can run,” Mond said. “I am very confident, calm and competitive. I have a very quick release, great mobility in the pocket and a great decision maker. I have heard from other people that it is almost impossible to game plan for me because of my ability to pass and run.”

Although very early, Mond is enjoying the beginning stages of the recruiting process.

”The recruiting process has been a little hectic over the past two months,” Mond said. “It is a very fun time because you get to talk to many college coaches and build relationships with them.”

Mond has a busy summer planned.

”I am visiting and camping with Baylor on June 7th, “ Mond said. “Then, the following week I will be at Auburn and Clemson. After those three camps, I will be taking visits to Arizona State and Texas Tech.”
