After several key conversations:
The hope for those concerned is for OL Ronnie Major (6-6, 290), a three-star recruit from Huntsville, and for TE Devonaire Clarington (6-5, 220), a 4-star from Miami (Booker T. Washington), Florida, to enroll before the fall semester (maybe even for second session of summer school in July).
The first part of their summer will include some academic work to help them qualify.
At this point, the mountain to qualify academically appears to be too steep to climb for WR Gilbert Johnson, a 6-4, 190-pound, 2-star recruit from Homestead, Florida.
That would be heart-breaking news for Johnson, considering he was a 2014 prospect who committed to Georgia and failed to qualify, landing at the Georgia Prep Sports Academy in Atlanta for the 2014-15 school year.
Johnson would join DT Du'Vonta Lampkin as a non-qualifier from the 2015 class.
