Longhorns Looking Good with Denzel Okafor

One of the players that Texas has a lot of momentum with right now is three-star offensive lineman Denzel Okafor (Lewisville, Texas).

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound mauler was offered by the Longhorns and Oklahoma on the same day back on April 29, but only one Red River rival made his top three: Texas.

Okafor tells HD that his Top 3 are UT, TCU and Texas A&M.

He tells HD’s Jason Higdon that he’ll visit Texas’ campus on Monday, the day after UT holds its last mini camp of the summer.

“I really like Austin and the school is huge and always catches my eye.” he said. “It’s a great place to be around.”

Okafor said that “all that really matters” to him is that the school he goes to has a “great environment.” We’ll see if Texas can provide him with one at the beginning of next week.

Okafor, the No. 7 OT in Texas and 45 OT in the country, is one of 15 2016 offensive linemen UT has offered. Tope Imade, a three-star from Arlington (Texas) Bowie, is the only Longhorns commitment.

Look for Okafor to make his college decision in August or September.
