2017 4-Star WR Commits to Longhorns

The Longhorns have just picked up a commitment from one of the top 2017 WRs in the country.

The Longhorns just picked up their first commitment for the Class of 2017 in four-star WR Damion Miller (Tyler, Texas/John Tyler).

The 6-foot-1, 189-pound playmaker just got finished speaking with Charlie Strong.

Miller chose Texas over offers from Houston, Kansas, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.

Here is what Miller told our Jason Higdon earlier today prior to his commitment: "This summer I have been working out at the school and playing 7 on 7. I will be visiting Texas in July. Texas is my biggest offer that stands out to me and they are recruiting me the most. Texas is a really good school and will help with life after football. Coach Strong to me is a real good coach. Coach Traylor, who is recruiting me is a very good coach. He is a real good person to me. When I am on the field you will see a big WR that's fast and can catch. On run plays I will block the DB's and they will have a hard time getting the tackle."
