Texas Strikes Gold with Damion Miller

Head coach Charlie Strong and assistant coach Jeff Traylor are off to a fantastic start to the 2017 recruiting class. Moments ago four-star wide receiver Damion Miller first informed Traylor and later Strong of his intentions to join the Longhorn Nation.

Damion Miller is one of the top wide receiver prospects in the country for 2017. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound receiver checks in from Tyler (Texas) John Tyler H.S. He has legitimate speed and is coming off an impressive sophomore season. Last year Miller had 26 catches for 614 yards and eight touchdowns for an astonishing 24 yards per catch. John Tyler reached the semifinal game last season and plays in the second-largest classification in the state of Texas.

”Texas is a really good school and will help with life after football. Coach Strong to me is a real good coach,” Miller said. “Coach Traylor, who is recruiting me is a very good coach. He is a real good person to me. When I am on the field you will see a big WR that's fast and can catch. On run plays I will block the DB's and they will have a hard time getting the tackle."

Miller has already been offered by Houston, Kansas, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
