Arizona State 2017 Outside Linebacker commitment Loren Mondy checks in at 6-foot-1, 220-pounds from Dallas (Texas) Bishop Dunne H.S. Mondy made an unofficial visit last week to check out the Texas Longhorns and walked away impressed.

Loren Mondy made an unofficial visit last week to Austin to check out Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns.

”The Texas visit last week went great,” Mondy said. “I was told some great things to come in the future. My thoughts on Strong and the Texas program are very great. I love the campus and the coach. They keep things real with me, and it’s an in-state school that I would love to have as a choice. Coach Strong is a great man and coach. I liked when he talked to me and my dad about how the program is starting to chance since he has been there and what he holds his players up to.”Mond will have a very busy couple of months with numerous visits on the horizon.

”This summer I just have been working out and hanging out with teammates,” Mondy said. “This summer I will visit Arizona State, Colorado, Texas, USC and maybe Iowa and Illinois.”

More than a few schools are still recruiting the talented linebacker despite being committed to Arizona State.

”The offers that stand out are Arizona State, California but when Texas offers that will be highly considered. I mean a lot of schools are recruiting me, but Arizona State, California, Oklahoma and Texas are the schools I talk to the most.”
