Colby Kizzie With Summer Plans

Quarterback Colby Kizzie checks in at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds from Conroe (Texas) The rising junior has early interest from Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Texas and TCU.

Colby Kizzie made an unofficial visit to Texas for the Texas QB Academy. He has early interest but is looking for more.

”I only have two offers right now with SFA and McNeese State,” Kizzie said. “Texas is the only school I have hand written letters from weekly. Coach [Chris] Vaughn is my recruiting coach. My thoughts on Charlie Strong just by listening to him speak is that he seems like he’s a good coach, hardworking guy and really knows what he’s talking about.”

Kizzie is coming off an impressive sophomore season. He ended the year with over 1,300 yards passing and 15 touchdowns. This summer will be a busy time for Kizzie and his family as they take some visits.

”This summer I’ve gone to a Texas Tech camp, Texas A&M and the Texas QB academy,” Kizzie said. I was supposed to go on an unofficial visit to Texas A&M but I couldn’t make it because I was at the Texas QB Academy. I’ve had a chance to see a little bit of both Texas and Texas A&M campuses. They are both beautiful campuses but Texas really stood out to me the most out of the two. I will attend one more camp in July at LSU on the 23rd and 24th.”
