Guidry One to Watch

One thing every college coach in America looks for is speed. Javelin Guidry has speed, the kind of speed you simply can’t coach. Guidry was a 5A finalist in the 100-meter with a 10.7. He is from Leander (Texas) Cedar Park H.S.

Javelin Guidry is a 5-foot-9, 177-pound cornerback with electric speed. Guidry is still looking for his first offer.

”I went to Cancun, Mexico for vacation,” Guidry said. “I went to the Baylor, Texas and UCLA camp. I am going to Auburn and TCU camps. I visited USC and will visit Georgia and Alabama. All the camps went well, and they had good competition.”

Texas, TCU and Baylor have shown the most attention to the 2017 corner.

”Texas has great traditions,” Guidry said. “Coach [Charlie] Strong is doing great things with his defense.”

How would Guidry describe his own game?

”They will see a football player that plays fast, competes and is an explosive playmaker.”
