2017 LB John Brannon Talks Longhorns

John Brannon is a 2017 prospect from Dallas (Texas) Prosper. The 6-foot-, 220-pound rising junior is coming off an impressive season ending with over 100 tackles, 27 for loss, five sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

John Brannon is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. It’s the kind of potential that has landing him numerous camp invites over the last several weeks including one from the Texas Longhorns.

”When I think about Texas I think about all the years they have won and hard working staff and team,” Brannon said. “What I think about Charlie Strong is he is a great coach that runs a very disciplined team and I like that.”

Brannon is a bit of an unknown but breaks down his game.

”My game to someone who hasn't watched I would say intense, passionate and punishing,” Brannon said.

Even though Brannon has only one offer look for that to change in the future. The recruiting process is fairly new to Brannon but one he is enjoying.

”What I think about the recruiting is its fun,” Brannon said. “Really fun to get to go to all these games and meet a lot of new people but also it can be very frustrating at times.”

Brannon will camp with Oklahoma, Baylor, Tulsa, SMU and Texas over the next few weeks.
