Walker Little Impressed with Charlie Strong

One of the highest ranked players from the class of 2017 is offensive tackle prospect Walker Little. Little and his father arrived early on Saturday to spend as much time as possible with Charlie Strong and the rest of the Texas coaching staff.

Walker Little was one of the earliest arriving prospects this past Saturday. Little and his father had plenty of one on one time with Charlie Strong and the four-star 6-foot-7, 301-pound offensive tackle came away impressed.

”I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with both coach [Joe] Wickline and coach [Charlie] Strong,” Little said. “That was the first time I got to spend significant time with Coach Strong, and we talked a lot about where the program was heading and specific things about the Texas football program.”

Little holds offers from Alabama, Baylor, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas to name a few. Where do the Longhorns stand?

”Texas will be on my list throughout the recruiting process,” Little said. “I like all of the coaches and players I met. They were also my first offer, so I know they have believed in me since the beginning.”

To receive the amount of attention the Little family received is very special regardless of class. Factor in he is in next year’s class, and it shows what a priority he is for Charlie Strong and the Texas football program.

”It meant a lot to me,” Little said. “It showed that they think I'm one of their top prospects and that they really want me to come to their school. To get the same attention as some of the other top players in the country meant a lot and I was really grateful for that opportunity.”
