Peyton Aucoin Joins the Longhorn Nation

The Texas Longhorns hosted tight end Peyton Aucoin earlier today and his family as he made his second trip to Austin. He spoke with Charlie Strong moments ago to inform him of his decision.

Peyton Aucoin checks in from New Orleans (LA) Brother Martin high school at 6-foot-5, 255-pounds. He finished his second visit to Texas and has made his decision.

”I am excited,” Aucoin said. “Coach Strong and I just talked, and he knew the way I felt and he told me I didn't need to play around anymore, and I committed. He felt great I felt great, and it’s awesome.”

Aucoin made the decision during the car ride home. He was able to share the decision-making process with his family and will forever be great full to those close to him.

”It means a lot to me because without them I wouldn't be able to go through this alone,” Aucoin said.

Aucoin and his family were very impressed with the set of core values that Charlie Strong stands by.

”I think it's great because Texas is about to be back on top,” Aucoin said. “The players they are building around is great and its going to be real good.”

For those Texas fans that have not had a chance to see Aucoin in action he breaks down his game.

”I am a very physical tight end that can block like an offensive tackle and still move around in the passing game and be a threat in the passing game,” Aucoin said.
