Longhorns Sitting Pretty with Darius Anderson

When three-star running back Darius Anderson (Richmond, Texas/George Ranch) released his Top 5 earlier this summer it didn't come as a surprise to many to see the Longhorns included.

But just how comfortable should the Longhorns feel about where they stand in that Top 5, which also includes California, Houston, Missorui, and Utah?

"They are top 3," he said. "I love the coaching, the discipline, and they help you for life after football."

Anderson is one of seven running backs the Longhorns have offered in 2016 along with Devwah Whaley, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, who just visited Texas over the weekend, Kameron Martin [Baylor commitment], Brandon Stephens, Trayveon Williams [TCU commitment], and Kyle Porter.

Anderson has been close to making a decision in the past but has held off for numerous reasons. He recently stated on Twitter that he'd be making his decision before the season.

The versatile back said that UT running backs coach Tommie Robinson and defensive line coach Brick Haley are the ones recruiting him from Texas' staff.
