Higdon Hits No 2:

Charlie Strong landed the No 7 ranked recruiting class in the country in 2015. The incoming freshmen will be counted on to contribute early but will they start?

Wide receiver John Burt.

Inside the Numbers:

Overall Rank No 153

Position Rank No 19

South WR Rank No 10

Florida WR Rank No 5 Take:

Burt is tall, long and runs extremely well. He makes a lot of big plays and is a deep threat with the speed to take the ball to the endzone anytime he catches it. He has good hands and adjusts to the ball well.

Linebacker Malik Jefferson.

Inside the Numbers:

Scout Overall Rank No 4

Position Rank No 1

Midland OLB Rank No 1

Texas OLB Rank No 1 Take:

He uses his hands well when needed to get off his blocks and has tremendous closing speed in the open field. He gets off the ball quickly, and a fast first step gives him and advantage. Finishes well and rarely do backs get away after he makes contact.

Athlete DeAndre McNeal.

Inside the Numbers:

Position Rank No 29

Midland OLB Rank 3

Texas OLB Rank No 3 Take:

Rated as an outside linebacker it is not fair to say he is anything but an athlete. He is an excellent wide receiver prospect who was a go-to guy and made key plays for his high school team. He has sneaky speed, good size and the penchant for making amazing plays.

Offensive tackle Connor Williams.

Inside the Numbers:

Position Rank No 38

Midland OT Rank No 8

Texas OT Rank No 8 Take:

He is extremely quick off the ball and is solid in all areas of blocking. He can run block, and he can also be reliable in pass pro. Very smart and grasps things very quickly. He could play right tackle, but is also an interior candidate.
