"Even my man Daje," said Strong when asked about who has impressed in fall camp. "He's been great."
Strong has been vocal about his relationship with the athlete, who has been suspended for the past few season openers for a variety of reasons. Earlier this summer, the Johnson/Strong relationship made news again after the player put out a rap single.
"Some guys think they can do whatever they want," Strong commented this summer. "Y'all heard that rap song."
The head coach said he called Johnson afterwards and that Johnson immediately apologized. Since the incident, the only news to come out about Johnson has been positive in regard to both his talent on the field and his attitude towards the game.
In the above video, Horns Digest's Chip Brown discusses how Johnson has matured over the past few seasons and the impact Charlie Strong has had on him since arriving to Austin.
