Four-star safety Christian Wallace (Sealy, Texas) was scheduled to come to Austin to watch the Longhorns practice and to speak with the coaches over the weekend.
Wallace made it to Austin but didn't get to do everything that he wanted to.
"To be honest I really couldn't make it to the practice," he said. "I was just chilling with some players. I had a great time with them, hanging out with Adrian Colbert, Kevin Vaccaro, and basically all of the DBs. I fit perfectly here."
Wallace, the No. 11 safety in the country, named a top 5 exactly a month ago of Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, TCU and Texas. Then at The Opening he named a top three of LSU, UT and Mississippi State.
So where does Texas fit in right now?
"Well Texas right now is probably my top school and the only reason why I haven't committed yet is because my parents want me to wait," he said. "I had committed to TCU and then decommitted so they just want me to take my time and not do the same thing."
Wallace said he plans on committing after he takes all five of his official visits. Right now he knows he'll take one to Oregon State Mississippi State and Texas. He's not sure which UT game he'll make his official visit but he will be in Austin for the Longhorns home opener against Rice on Sept. 12.
