Carlos Grace holds offers from Houston, SMU and has an interest in Illinois, Kansas State, Michigan and Texas. Grace attended a Texas camp, so the staff is very familiar with the Crosby running back. Grace had a quick start to his junior season.
“My season got off to a pretty good start,” Grace said. “Our first game against Nederland we won and I had 142 rushing yards and one touchdown. “Our second game against Angleton I had 99 yards and one touchdown in two series in the first quarter. I got hurt and didn't play anymore, but my team still got the victory 34-0. I was happy about the win but mad I couldn't play anymore because I was on pace to get 400 yards, but I would have been satisfied with 300 yards,” Grace said laughing.
Grace will be in Austin this weekend as Texas hosts Rice in the opener.
“I was supposed to go to the Houston home openers this past Saturday, but couldn't make it,” Grace said. “I will make their next home game and this weekend coming up I will be attending the Texas vs. Rice in Austin. I got my invite from Coach [Charlie] Strong and the Longhorns last week.”
Grace holds an offer from SMU, and they are working hard to get him to campus.
“I got a call from the SMU running back Coach Mathis and Coach [Chad] Morris this weekend,” Grace said. “They want me to come up and catch a game, so I will get there very soon. I also got an invite to catch a Colorado State game.”
What stood out to Grace after week one of the college football season?
“When Braxton Miller used my spin move against Virginia Tech last night that was sweet,” Grace said laughing.
Houston is showing Carlos Grace the most love at this time.
