Sanogo was in the stands as Texas hosted California.
“The visit was pretty nice,” Sanogo said. “I love going to UT and the Austin area. I got to speak with Coach Jean-Mary. He said he loved my tape and was going to continue to check my HUDL from game to game. He said he likes me and to keep it up, lead my team.”
Redshirt freshman Jerrod Heard put on a show Saturday night with over 520 yards of total offense. He brought excitement and electricity into the stadium for Texas fans and recruits.
“The energy was crazy,” Sanogo said. “That was my first time being in the stands of a college game and it was so loud. It's crazy how many people come to the games, DKR is such a nice stadium. The best part of the trip for me was just the game experience it was such a good game to watch it was so close. Unfortunately, UT lost but I was impressed with their fight and how they never gave up and how composed the many freshmen on the team are. To me it seemed as if some of those freshmen were leaders on the team.”
Where does Texas stand for Mohamed Sanogo?
“Right now Texas is one of the top on my list, but not only because of the football program but also because of the academic side of it, you have to be top 8% in your class to get in.”
