It's no secret that the Longhorns are struggling across the defensive line right now.

They need help up front moving forward so they've extended an offer to four-star defensive end Andrew Fitzgerald (Flower Mound, Texas/Marcus).

"I'm really excited about it," he said. "It's a great program and have always really liked them. I will definitely be considering them and plan on going for a visit soon."

Fitzgerald, who stands 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds, is the No. 27 defensive end in the country and No. 228 player overall.

He also has offers from the likes of Kansas State, North Carolina, Oregon, Baylor, Iowa, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Air Force, Army, Boise State, Cal, Colorado State, Illinois, Navy, North Texas, Oregon State, Texas State and Virginia.
