Quick catch up with Misko

Quick catch up with Misko

2017 defensive end Spencer Misko said his season has been going well so far.

“[The season has been going] great,” Misko said. “[It’s] been real good.”

Misko, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound junior at Keller (TX) High School, has amassed in 14 total tackles, five quarter back hurries, four sacks and fumble recovery in five games thus far.

“We’ve been playing really good,” Misko said. “We’re 4-1 right now.”

While Misko is currently having a solid season, he’s yet to gain a scholarship offer. This season, Misko has visited Texas and has some interest in Baylor, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU and Texas A&M.

Part of the reason could be because he’s still relatively new to the game – he’s only been playing football for four years. But Misko has been working hard. During the offseason, he worked on improving his speed and strength. The work is showing as Misko runs a 4.69 40-yard dash, squats 400 pounds and bench presses 230 pounds.

Misko has said he wants to get the opportunity to play at the next level.

“I just want to get out there and show what I can do and show them I can standout and know what I’m doing,” Misko previously said. “I think I can be able to standout. I think I have the skills that I can play at the college level.”

When his chance comes, Misko said he’s going to evaluate his choices thoroughly.

“It’s all going to come down to my visits and my junior days,” he previously said. “I’m going to have to go out there and see what the campus is. What the academics are. How’s the program. I’m keeping my options open.”

Today’s edition of Tweet’Em looks at tweets from 2016 Texas commits –  wide receiver Reggie Hemphill, tight end commit Peyton Aucoin and offensive lineman Tope Imade – and 2016 defensive tackle Jordan Elliott.
