The Longhorns are facing an uphill battle trying to get 2017 four-star defensive end Robert Beal to end up at UT.
But, for now, at least, they remain in the mix.
Beal released his top 10 schools on Sunday and Texas made the cut.
Beal, who visited Texas for its game against Cal on Sept. 19, is the No. 10 DE and No. 119 player overall in his class.
Early on, the 6-foot-4, 216 pound junior named the Seminoles as his leader. Then when Georgia, the in-state school he grew up following offered, it put the Dawgs and FSU at the top. Now, Beal has backed off that, he has slowed things down, and he is now "completely open" to all schools.
