Tuesday Practice Report: LB Returns

The Longhorns got some good news in the return of a defensive player but are still waiting on an offensive star to return.

Here's what I'm hearing after talking to a couple of sources...

Big news here – Breckyn Hager is back practice and apparently is playing without any limitations. He should be good to go this weekend.

D’Onta Foreman did not practice again [toe]. He didn’t practice on Sunday either. Chris Warren got his reps with the second team while Kirk Johnson was the No. 3 RB.

DeAndre McNeal did not practice either. He didn’t practice on Sunday. All I know on this is that he was favoring his right foot on the sideline on Saturday.

Davante Davis worked at the right corner with Holton Hill at the left corner and Duke Thomas at the nickel most of the time. However, there was time when Thomas was at LCB and Hill was at RCB with John Bonney at nickel. I think I know which one you all would prefer to see.

On second team you had P.J. Locke in the nickel, Deshon Elliott and Kevin Vaccaro at safety, and Antwuan Davis and Kris Boyd at cornerback.

Edwin Freeman was in The Pit working out without any sort of brace protecting his shoulder. He was in there with Jermaine Roberts. That’s good news for the Longhorns. No timetable on his return, but positive progress nonetheless.

Ronnie Major got some work at second team left tackle today with Alex Anderson at left guard.

Still not hearing much at all about Brandon Hodges.

Heard that Jerrod Heard had a pretty solid day passing the ball. However, I’m told he did throw an interception to the scout defense. Not good.
