Denzel Okafor holds offers from TCU, Texas, Oklahoma State and Arkansas to name a few. He is a huge target for Charlie Strong and the Texas coaching staff.
“My strengths are how I can take good and bad criticism,” Denzel Okafor said. “I don’t know what my weakness is, though.”
Okafor understands the challenges of playing at the collegiate level.
“Playing at a faster pace with better stronger athletes,” Okafor said.
Okafor and his family have enjoyed the recruiting process, a process that could be over sooner rather than later.
“The pro was getting exposed and having my name out there,” Okafor said. “The con is letting all theses different people and, or coaches telling you things you might not want to hear.”
Okafor has a wide array of skills as a lineman and should provide some roster versatility for his college as he could honestly play tackle or guard on the next level. He has good length for his height/weight ratio, but also looks to be able to add the size to take on the bigger interior players if needed. He moves well in the open field and can get to those blocks on the second level. Shows great leadership up front and is a team captain.
