Quick Cuffee Update

2016 four-star cornerback Eric Cuffee said he’s been playing well this year.

“[My season is] going great,” Cuffee said.

Cuffee and the Waco Lions are headed to the playoffs to take on A&M Consolidated in the 5A Division II playoffs on Friday.

Cuffee said he’s added another position to his repertoire this season.

“I’ve been playing a lot of safety to get some action,” Cuffee said.

Cuffee said he’s recorded 56 solo tackles, seven pass break ups, one interception and one forced fumble during his senior season.

The 5-foot-11.5, 188-pound cornerback is the No. 7 cornerback in Texas and No. 26 overall cornerback in the nation. He holds a slew of offers including offers from TCU, Texas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Baylor, Michigan and Texas A&M. Cuffee has visited Notre Dame, Texas A&M and Texas this season.
