Tracking Texas: Three-star Tope Imade

The Longhorns continue to keep up with one of their most important commitments.

When was Visit: Monday

Which Texas coaches: Joe Wickline

Importance of Visit: Tope Imade was the first true offensive linemen to give his verbal pledge to the Longhorns on May 26. It was as critical then as it is now simply because recruiting offensive linemen is always a top priority for every recruiting cycle. Imade's potential is through the roof and several programs have inquired late. But his allegiance is with UT.

Comment on Visit: "It was great, he met my family and described how my freshman year would be."

2016 Commitments at his Position: 1 - Demarco Boyd

Chance of a Commitment: Committed

Imade is a big, tall, long-armed lineman prospect who could possibly play guard or tackle at the next level, though guard appears to be his best fit. Consistently finishes blocks, whether at the LOS or when blocking at the second level. Athletic enough to chase down blocking assignments. Great frame. Possesses height/length to play outside. Sometimes plays a bit stiff with high pad level. Overall a strong high major-caliber OL prospect.-G. Brooks
