Texas Visits with Lil'Jordan Humphrey

Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns are sitting with 12 verbal commitments for the class of 2016. Texas fans can expect to see a full class on National Signing Day and one player to keep an eye on is Lil’Jordan Humphrey

Lil’Jordan Humphrey is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound athlete from Southlake (Texas) Carroll.  The four-star athlete holds double-digit offers from teams such as California, Texas, Texas Tech, Washington and Wisconsin to name a few.  Coach Brian Jean-Mary from Texas visited Humphrey and teammate Obi Eboh last yesterday.

My Take:

Texas fans can expect to see Lil'Jordan Humphrey take an official visit to Texas in January.  The Longhorns are the clubhouse leader with a two shot advantage over the field.  As soon as Texas announces the staff changes this one should be over.  I believe Humphrey is simply waiting to see who the new coaches will be.  He and Texas fans won’t have to wait much longer.

Scout.com Take:

Maybe best rated as an athlete, but you don't often see players in the mold of Humphrey, who can play running back and still not look too big to do it at 6'4-6'5. It speaks of his athleticism overall that he can run with a consistently low pad level and cut and dash the way he does in the open field. He put up big numbers against some serious competition in the Dallas-metro. He could end up at numerous spots once he gets to college. -GP
