Four-Star CB Eric Cuffee will see Texas

The Texas Longhorn coaching staff is out and about today from Texas to Louisiana. One player Texas will make an in-home visit with is a standout cornerback prospect from Waco.

Eric Cuffee is a four-star cornerback from Waco (Texas).  He has nice body control, change of direction and size at just under 6-foot, 190-pounds.

My Take

Teams such as Texas, Auburn, Mississippi, Notre Dame and TCU are all possible destinations with the Longhorns the team to beat.  Eric Cuffee and family will make their official visit to Texas this weekend.  This weekend will go a long way for Cuffee and his family before making his public announcement a few weeks later at the Under Armour All-America game.  In-home visit scheduled for today followed by the official visit will give us a better understanding of the potential outcome.  I believe the Texas Longhorns have a three-shot advantage with three to play.

Scout.com Take

Locking down one-half of the field, Cuffee is not a prospect who many quarterbacks in the Waco area often tested in 2014. Do not expect that to change. He is a very physical player at the position and moves well for a guy who is around 190 pounds, as his 4.10 pro-shuttle time indicates. He is a good tackler and is not a liability in run support. Teams trying to get outside on his side of the field will quickly find that out. - Greg Powers
