Four-star linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch, one of the top LBs in the country, has trimmed his list of schools to five

Did the Longhorns make the cut?

The Longhorns have been on Jeffrey McCulloch as long as any program in the country.

For a while it appeared like Texas was the team to beat. But that picture has become much less clear as of late with those other four schools all making their case.

The Longhorns sent several coaches to visit with him last week for an in-home visit.

He tells HD that he is not yet sure if or when he'll take an official visit to Texas. The Longhorns just held their big official visit weekend with several commitments and top targets.

McCulloch has taken official visits to Notre Dame, Stanford and Michigan and has visited Texas A&M several times.

The Longhorns have a commitment from one linebacker in 2016, three-star Demarco Boyd.
