HornsDigest has just learned that Longhorns new run-game coordinator and offensive line coach Matt Mattox visited with Baylor commitment J.P. Urquidez on Sunday.

Mattox, who came over from Tulsa with new UT offensive coordinator and QB coach Sterlin Gilbert, also visited with Kansas State commitment Zach Shackelford on Sunday.

Urquidez tells HD that he has legitimate interest in the Longhorns after this visit and that he will take an official visit to Texas sometime in Janurary.

The mammoth 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive tackle committed to Baylor over Texas on April 13, 2015. He's visited UT several times already.

The Longhorns currently have two offensive line commitments in Denzel Okafor and Tope Imade, but would like to add a couple of more to their 2016 class.
