Four-star wide receiver Collin Johnson is getting ever so close to becoming a Longhorn, and his official visit to Texas over the weekend meant that it's just that much closer to becoming a reality.
Johnson, who will be an early enrollee, was one of several Longhorns commitments in town over the weekend, along with a few of UT's biggest targets, taking their official visits.
It was the first time any of them were meeting new UT offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Sterlin Gilbert.
"Just bonded with my future teammates. I had an amazing time overall," he said. "I also got to meet and talk to Coach Gilbert a little bit and can't wait for this new offense and it's crazy because next time I'm going to be in Austin I will be moving in not just visiting , which is crazy."
It's been a long time coming seeing as though his father, Johnnie Johnson, is a former Longhorns great and his brother, Kirk Johnson, just finished his freshman season at UT.
Johnson missed most of his senior season with an injury but tells HD that he is healthy and will be ready for spring ball.
