If there was one position the Longhorns are in dire need of adding depth to in 2016 its at defensive tackle.

So it should come as no surprise the Texas would extend an offer to the top JUCO DT in the country, which it has in Handsome Tanielu (Snow Community College (Ephraim, Utah).

And it appears as though the offer couldn't have come at a better time as Tanielu was set to announce his commitment decision on Wednesday.

But something - perhaps the Texas offer? - has prolonged that decision.

The 6-foot-2, 305-pound DT also has offers from the likes of BYU, Boise State, Oregon, and Missouri.

Currently, Texas only has one DT committed in 2016 in Gerald Wilbon. UT is still heavily pursuing DT prospects Jordan ElliottD'Andre Christmas-Giles and a few others.
