Tope Imade Ready for Texas Official Visit

The Texas Longhorns are sitting with 13 verbal commitments for the class of 2016. Texas will sign a full class when National Signing Day finally arrives the first Wednesday in February.

Head Coach Charlie Strong and the rest of the Texas Longhorns coaching staff are about to embark on an epic journey to NSD.  Over the next 20 days, Texas fans will see numerous high school football players make their pledge to join the Longhorn Nation.  Texas will sign somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-14 more players for the class of 2016.

January 16th, 2016 could be a monumental official visit weekend for Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns. Texas could host as many as 22 recruits combined with the official, unofficial visits and early enrolled players.  The next player tentatively scheduled for the 16th is offensive line standout Tope Imade.  He checks in from Arlington (Texas) Bowie at close to 6-foot-5, 327-pounds.

A true road grader in every sense of the word, Imade fills a big need in the class of 2016 for head coach Charlie Strong and the rest of the Texas coaching staff.  He has everything you would want from an interior linemen.  Aggressiveness, power, strength, size and tenacity are some of the attributes Tope Imade possesses. He will see Charlie Strong Thursday and this weekend during his official visit weekend.  He will have both his parents on the visit with him in Austin.

Class 2016

Offensive Guard

Arlington (Texas)

Bowie High School

Position Rank No 27

Midland OG Rank No 4

Texas OG Rank No 4 Take

Imade is a big, tall, long-armed lineman prospect who could play guard or tackle at the next level though guard appears to be his best fit. Consistently finishes blocks, whether at the LOS or when blocking at the second level. Athletic enough to chase down blocking assignments. Great frame. Possesses height/length to play outside. Sometimes plays a bit stiff with high pad level. Overall a strong high-major-caliber OL prospect.-G. Brooks
