The Longhorns have to be feeling good about their chances with Chris Daniels now.
The massive defensive tackle from Euless (Texas) Trinity really enjoyed his official visit to Texas over the weekend. His host in Austin was none other than his former high school teammate Patrick Vahe, who started at right guard as a true freshman.
Defensive tackle is the main priority for the Longhorns at this point in the 2016 recruiting process after losing Hassan Ridgeway to the NFL and going without a signee in 2015. Texas does have a commitment from Gerald Wilbon and is still in the running with Daniels, Stephon Taylor, D'Andre Christmas-Giles, Mike Williams and Jordan Elliott.
