L'il Jordan Humphrey, a four-star, 6-foot-4, 200-pound running back at Southlake Carroll, who is likely to play receiver at the next level, becomes the latest 2016 commitment to the Texas Longhorns.

Lil’Jordan Humprey is a four-star athlete who  was offered by California, Texas, Texas Tech, Washington and Wisconsin to name a few.  Long thought to be a Big 12 battle between the Baylor and Texas, Humphrey ultimately picked Texas because of the academics, the family atmosphere built by Charlie Strong as well as the chance to build the UT program back into a national title contender.

Scout.com Take of Greg Powers:

Best rated as an athlete, but you don't often see players in the mold of Humphrey, who can play running back and still not look too big to do it at 6'4-6'5. It speaks of his athleticism overall that he can run with a consistently low pad level and cut and dash the way he does in the open field. He put up big numbers against some serious competition in the Dallas-metro. He could end up at numerous spots once he gets to college.
