IT'S A BIG DAY FOR TEXAS LONGHORNS' RECRUITING

In addition to 2016 4-star CB Eric Cuffee, a top Texas target, announcing his commitment to the Longhorns on Thursday, Texas coaches are meeting with some of their most important uncommitted targets just six days from National Signing Day.

Expected to get in-home visits from Charlie Strong on Thursday during an East Texas and Louisiana swing are: 4-star TE Irvin Smith, 4-star DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles and 5-star S Brandon Jones. In addition, Texas is expected to see 4-star OLB Jeffrey McCulloch and 4-star ILB Dontavious Jackson.

It's one of the most important days for Texas in the 2016 recruiting cycle - just 6 days from National Signing Day.

There are only 6 days left in what will go down as the most climactic Texas recruiting cycle in the last 30 years - and maybe in the history of the program. Nearly half of the Longhorns' 2016 recruiting class remains unknown. Well, unless you're a member of HornsDigest.com...

Jason Higdon, HD's Longhorns' recruiting analyst who has covered Charlie Strong the longest and has the most plugged-in information, is giving you up-to-the-minute updates on the in-home visits Thursday by Strong and the Texas coaching staff.
