Even though the Longhorns dropped both games last week, the country saw enough fight in them to keep them in both Top 25 polls.
Texas stayed at No. 24 in the AP Top 25 Poll and at No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
UT lost at No. 3 Oklahoma on a final-second three by soon-to-be Big 12 (and possibly national) Player of the Year Buddy Hield on Monday, and then dropped an 85-75 game at No. 13 Iowa State on Saturday. The score in that final game is a bit misleading as UT was within two possessions with around 2 minutes left.
The Longhorns have a huge opportunity to work their way up the polls this week as they'll host No. 10/11 West Virginia on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and then host No. 25 Baylor on Saturday at 1 p.m. UT defeated both of those teams on their homecourts earlier this season.
