I'm told DL coach Brick Haley is staying at Texas.
As Taylor Gaspar of HornsDigest.com pointed out on Tuesday a personal matter involved played a significant role in his ultimate decision.
After being offered the DT coaching job at Texas A&M by Kevin Sumlin and the chance to be reunited with John Chavis, Haley's defensive coordinator when Haley was a LB at Alabama A&M, I think there was a strong pull to go to College Station.
But Haley took a long look at the entire picture, including the fact he had just helped amass one of the best defensive line classes in 2016 as well as a personal matter that probably had his family wanting to stay in Austin. And as Taylor reported Tuesday, Texas matched Texas A&M's offer on Tuesday.
