Longhorns fans would be wise to keep an eye on four-star defensive end Robert Beal moving forward.
The highly-touted edge rusher de-committed from Notre Dame on Thursday opening the door for Texas to make a serious push.
He had committed to the Irish in November over offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Ohio State. His grandmother resides in South Bend, which was one reason why he originally committed to UT.
Expect the Longhorns to be right in the mix along with FSU, N.C. State, Alabama and South Carolina. He plans to attend Junior Day in Tallahassee today with Alabam a likely stop later this month.
Texas would love to add Beal to the mix with current commitment Lagaryonn Carson.
