Four-Star Defensive End Taquon Graham Enjoys Texas Spring Game

Will lightning strike twice for the Texas Longhorns? Charlie Strong went into Tempe (Texas) last season and landed wide receiver Davion Curtis in the class of 2016. Will they be able to pull another player from Temple in 2017?

Defensive end Taquon Graham checks in at 6-foot-3, 252-pounds.  The four-star standout was on campus this weekend to take in the annual Texas Spring game and walked away impressed yet again.

“What impressed me is the really really big turn out that they had,” Taquon Graham said.  “We (coaches) just talked about what I would play there and how they other players would fit in.  Talking to the other recruits was probably the best thing and for my family it was probably talking to Charlie Strong and they thing very highly of the team.”

Scout.com Take

Graham gets after the quarterback and puts a ton of pressure on the offensive backfield. He is a new-age weapon at the positon that is able to slide around and confuse offensive coordinators and offensive linemen from where he will be bringing pressure. Look for him to be a guy who can put his hand on the ground as a true defensive end, but can also stand up as a linebacker as well. He runs extremely well in the open field. - Greg Powers
