Cornerback Darrion Green Visits Texas Spring Game

Cornerback Darrion Green made an unofficial visit this past weekend to check out the annual Texas Spring game. The 5-foot-11, 166-pound defensive back checks in from Dallas (Texas) Woodrow Wilson High School. Green came away impressed with the Texas Offense.

“Running back Chris Warren and Quarterback Shane [Buechele] impressed me the most,” Darrion Green said.  “That got my attention, and I really like it when they make plays and do what they got to do.”

Green is a three-star with interest from SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor and an offer from Michigan.  He is excited for the May evaluation period to start.

“My time with the Texas coaches is super fun, and I enjoy it because I got to meet them in person, have good conversations and laugh together,” Green said.  “They talked about showing up to my school during Spring evaluation to watch me practice.  They like doing their homework.”

It was a great trip for Green.

“I like the atmosphere, Texas facilities, and we got more comfortable,” Green said.  Coach Strong is a great coach, and he is super busy during the game and after the game with the media and meetings.”
