Texas Longhorns Assistant Coach Jeff Traylor Earns Raise and New Title

Tight ends coach Jeff Traylor will earn a new job title and raise for the 2016-2017 football season.

After only one season at Texas, assistant coach Jeff Traylor has made a name for himself in the college game.

And the Longhorns have recognized his value.

Traylor will not only earn a significant pay increase for the 2016-2017 football season, he will also earn a new job title: passing game coordinator.

The additional title and raise comes after Traylor was approached by a few D-I programs for offensive coordinator vacancies following his first season coaching at the college level. He was also instrumental in the Longhorns hiring of first-year offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert and offensive line coach/running game coordinator Matt Mattox.

Traylor's raise is set to be approved during the University of Texas Board of Regents meeting May 11 and May 12.
