Montrell Estell is a Three-Star WR to Watch

Montrell Estell is a member of the Texas Hot 100. The 6-foot-1 1/2, 180-pound standout checks in from Hooks (Texas) Hooks High School. The three-star prospect holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Texas and Texas A&M to name a few.

It’s hard to say a prospect with a dozen offers is flying under the radar, but that is the case with athlete Montrell Estell.

Inside the Numbers

Class 2017

Position Rank No 56

Midland WR Rank No 15

Texas WR Rank No 15

Estell is a player I expect to rise throughout the Texas state rankings during his senior year of high school football.

“I like the recruiting process because I get to talk to a lot of coaches from all over,” Montrell Estell said.

If you are going to run a successful offense, you must have great skill players.  Making plays is what Estell does.

“I can make small plays into big plays,” Estell said.

Estell is ready for the college football season to arrive.  He, like every other prospect, will be watching schools of their choice to see how they perform on the field.

“ just watching them play and work as a team,” Estell said.

Although the destinations are unknown, Estell will make a few unofficial visits this summer.

“I’m not going to any camps this summer,” Estell said.  “I’m just going to be working out, and I have a couple of trips lined up.”

Estell is working on building a relationship with Charlie Strong.

“We have a good relationship,” Estell said.  “We talk about once a week and text.  I like Coach Strong.  He’s cool through the phone.  I don’t know the other side of him yet.”
